Once in a lifetime

The church in Don Salvador is hustling and bustling. The sanctuary, kitchen and parsonage are completed.

We have a livelihood and literacy program each Tuesday and Thursday. These programs teach the women of the church how to read and write and how to make a living that will help support their families.

Saturday service is packed with adults and children. One exciting aspect is that we have gone from one man in the church to almost ten men. This is encouraging for us!

With children, we have more or less about 100 people that attend service.

We provide a meal which is in keeping with what Jesus did when He said "they have travelled a great distance and will faint on the way home if we do not feed them".

Many people actually walk miles up the mountain sides to come to church. Truly they have shown their dedication to the mission at hand.

As you may know, I love to take pictures. The girl on the top of this post attends the church. This shot was taken at the entrance of the sanctuary.

It is one of those once in a lifetime shots ...
